Many deaths , still Survivor - Guild Wars Forums

I have been away from GW for close on a year , and have just noticed that one of my Ranger characters that (I think) has death levelled a pet and surely must have died many more times has Survivor (1) .

Has there been a death reset or something recently ?

She also shows barely 100 k exp but 77 skillpoints after buying and capping most ranger skills .

If you reach level 20 without dying around (140,600 XP), you'll get survivor (1). After that, you'll keep that title even if you die.

If you reached the first tier of the Survivor title track before your first death, (which is basicly level 20) you will always be able to display the title Survivor (1), however you will not be able to progress any further along the title track towards - Indomitable Survivor (2) and ultimately Legendary Survivor (3).

After you obtain the title, you can die as much as you want. There has been no death reset for my Warrior still has got 450 deaths obtained through two years and not playing recently. Not every death counts as a death. For example: /resign or sulfrous haze. And a death reset cannot result in obtaining a title, otherwise you could create a character, die 1000 times, reaching level 20 and then during the reset to 0 deaths obtain the title for you've died 0 times.

My bad , I forgot to mention that when I hover the mouse over the Survivor info it states that after xxx more exp. she will reach Indomitable (2) .

Is this just a false message then ?

False message. Since you've died, you should notice that your experience total at the top and the experience total listed under your Survivor title should be significantly different. You'll also notice that if you keep the Hero tab open when you fight, you'll gain experience upon killing an enemy but the title experience will not move.

Basically once you die, it freezes the title - it'll show you exactly how much experience you had upon death, and it also leaves the title available for you to display, so they just never bothered with making a "you have failed to reach Indomitable Survivor" or whatever message on the title.

That's just telling you where you are in the current title. If you've already died, it wont go up any more.

yeah, if it doesnt match the current exp ur char has, it's a dead title and wont rise anymore
